The total distance of this self-guided tour is 31 miles. Biking 31 miles at a casual pace will take about 2 hours and 40 minutes of active ride time.

If you don’t want to ride that far, then you can just do part of the tour.

What You’ll See

The Boardwalk

You’ll start this Virginia Beach bike ride at the boardwalk. Walk your bike along the boardwalk and breathe in the ocean air.

Farm-to-Table Dining in an Historic Setting

Next, ride to Becca restaurant. Becca is a modern farm-to-table experience with an enchanting ambiance. Becca is inside of the Cavalier Hotel which was established in 1927 and recently restored.

Lighthouse at First Landing

From Becca, take a ride out to the lighthouse at First Landing. This scenic spot gets its name because it is where the first ships carrying English settlers to America made landfall in 1607.

The Cape Henry lighthouse located at First Landing was authorized by none other than George Washington! You can go to the top of the lighthouse for a great view.
